Our Experiences

As veterans and retired teachers, we take pride in our extensive experiences helping others thrive and reach their fullest potential. Similar to our classrooms and military bases, we provide a therapeutic space that is safe and inclusive where clients feel they are valued and heard, so they can develop the skills to move forward.

We have 40+ years of full-time teaching experience at the elementary, middle school, and college levels. This has honed our ability to communicate effectively and empathetically, essential for understanding and addressing clients' mental health needs.

We served 30+ years in the USAF and Air National Guard. We have had the privilege of guiding individuals through various life challenges, witnessing their remarkable transformations and growth.

Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and face a wide range of mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to relationship issues and trauma. Through our tailored, evidence-based therapeutic approaches, we have successfully helped clients develop resilience, gain clarity, and achieve lasting emotional well-being.   • One of our biggest strengths is helping struggling youth and teens by turning their worries into wisdom. We create a fun, supportive environment where you can talk about anything, from school stress to social dramas. Our sessions are like a creativity playground, where you can express yourself and build emotional resilience.   • At Better Balance Therapy, we help struggling college students and young adults turn their worries into wins, making life's challenges feel like exciting adventures. Our sessions are a welcoming space where you can explore your thoughts, boost your resilience, and transform stress into strength!

  • We are offering 7-week small group (6-8) after-school programming in the fall of 2024.

    *Grades 3-5 options: Program 1 is executive function & program 2 is self-esteem and confidence.

    *Grades 6-8 options: Program 1 is executive function & program 2 is self-esteem and confidence.
